CARES ACT Relief Grant Program Application Period has ENDED
CARES ACT RELIEF GRANT PROGRAM
EXTENDED
Application Deadline has been extended to October 30th at 5:00 p.m.
Steele County recognizes the hardships and impact COVID-19 has had on business and local nonprofits within the community.
In an effort to support and help them sustain operations during this difficult time,
the County set aside:
- $672,000 (combined total) for the County CARES Business Grant Program to help all businesses in Steele County, whether located in the unincorporated areas of the County or supporting the four City CARES Programs.
- $450,000 towards the Steele County CARES Nonprofit Relief Grant Program to help nonprofits throughout all of Steele County.
From these funds, Steele County is providing grants up to $10,000 to assist eligible businesses/organizations adversely affected by the pandemic that have not already received funding from a Steele County City and/or a Township CARES Act Fund of $10,000 or more.
ALL Businesses located in Steele County:
With the City Programs ending, we are now accepting business applications from all businesses located in Steele County that meet the eligible business requirements listed in the program extension guidelines that have not already received a City and/or Township CARES Act funding.
ALL Nonprofit Organizations or Agencies:
We are now accepting applications from nonprofit organizations or agencies that meet the eligible requirements listed in the program extension guidelines.
Grant funds will be awarded to businesses/organizations as a first come, first serve basis. The program is subject to funding availability from the County. The County retains the authority and discretion to approve or deny an application, and reserves the right to subsequently add further priorities, change eligibility criteria, or discontinue the program in response to changing circumstances.
