NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 2022 STEELE COUNTY COMMISSIONER REDISTRICTING

Notice is hereby given that the Steele County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on
Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 5:15 p.m.
at the Steele County Administration Center, 630 Florence Ave, Owatonna, MN, to receive citizen comments regarding the 2022 Commissioner Redistricting Plan, with intent to adopt the plan following the public hearing.

The Auditor’s Office will discuss the redistricting process and present the proposed redistricting plan during the April 12, 2022, Board Work Session at 4:00 p.m. Following the April 12, 2022 presentation, a copy of the preliminary plan will be available on the county website and for public inspection in the office of the Steele County Auditor during regular office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Citizens can provide written comments via email to: SGolberg@co.steele.mn.us or written comments can also be mailed to: Laura Ihrke, Steele County Auditor’s Office, 630 Florence Ave, Owatonna, MN  55060. Comments received through April 21, 2022 will be forwarded to all Board members prior to the public hearing on April 26, 2022. Verbal testimony will be accepted by the Board during the April 26, 2022, Board of Commissioners public hearing.
